Advanced Oxidation Process (AOP)

This is a great option for those looking for the best sanitation for their pool.

Using the process of UV light and ozone, AOP creates hydroxyls radicals which react and destroy contaminants almost instantaneously. This process can take milliseconds while traditional chlorine can take hours or days.

In addition to that, AOP can also kill microorganism that are resistant to chlorine such as E. Coli and Cryptosporidium and can kill up to 99.9% of harmful contaminants.

And, with the reduction of chlorine, you reduce the risk of irritation to the eyes and skin that is generally associated with chlorine use.

Saltwater Chlorination

Salt is a great alternative to traditional chlorine. While chlorine tabs and liquid have byproducts of other chemicals, a saltwater system takes regular salt and creates chlorine without the additives. While many people think a salt pool means no chlorine at all, that’s unfortunately inaccurate. The difference is the lack of additives in the chlorine being used in the pool, leaving the water with less chemicals and gentler on the skin.

Some minerals are natural sanitizers that can be used in your pool as well. With mineral sanitation it can help control algae for up to 6 months, while helping destroy bacteria. Mineral sanitation will work alongside your current filtration system to add an extra layer of protection to your pool water and can help reduce chlorine usage up to 50%. Alongside that, just like with Salt and AOP, the minerals will leave your pool water smooth and nearly free of irritants due to the reduction in chlorine.
